Jane is a trompe l’oeil artist trained in the UK, currently lives in Masterton.

She loves the art of illusion and is fascinated by the interplay of scale, light and depth, relishing the challenge of fooling viewers into questioning reality.

Right now, Jane is fixated on painting jewels, but she is often drawn along different avenues as she responds to commissions and exhibition prompts.

Jane works mainly with oils, predominantly on custom made art boards cut to her specifications.
