Rosie lives in Napier and creates beautiful quirky pottery pieces. These large houses are inspired by a Portugese term “Saudade”, meaning “a nostalgic longing to be near again to something or someone that is distant, or that has been loved then lost; ‘the love that still remains’”.

The colours are amazing, with layers of glaze and intricate gardens carved into the clay.

The last remaining house measures 23cm high by 9cm wide and deep.
