Notes about The Gunslingers Club series:
The Gunslingers Club is a limited edition autobiographical series depicting the Bull - Head of The Hole In The Wall Gang. Each painting in this series shows the Gunslinging Bull, at an actual robbery event. Around the painting are written clues as to which event this relates to, and a unique code number. Upon Simon’s death the information will be released which will link the code number to the actual event. There will only be as many paintings in this series as there were events - how many was that? We shall see!
“This is the first statement I’ve made. ‘Hearts Of Gold’ is my confession. Each one of this series is real - real as in real events. Some I am reluctant to be proud of but mostly not. For such is life.
Many in this world who have wealth hide under the cover of ‘industrialism’, however many of them have been nothing more or less than profiteers. I have hidden under nothing.
A judge once asked my late dear friend J.D. while sentencing him for a bank robbery “why have you persisted in robbing banks Mr Donnerly?”. His answer? He looked around the court room and then back at the judge and said “are you fkg silly or something? Because that’s where all the money is”. We all did 20 years.
