Joseph lives in Hawkes Bay and has a completely unique style of painting on old window frames. He etches with transparent white on the back of the glass, and paints a separate scene on the back board. This creates, depth and shadows, but most of all a dreamy, reminiscent feeling.

Wairoa Cowboy is about a NZ farmer, his ruggedness and also his vulnerability. It measures 77cm wide by 82cm high.
